Doctoral Program

Twice a year we review applications submitted to the Doctoral Program in Environmental studies in the Czech language. We welcome applications not only from graduates of our Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programs, but also from graduates from other Faculties and fields of study, such as sociology, philosophy, history, journalism, philosophy, theory and history of art, psychology, biology, ecology, environmental protection, geography, and agricultural sciences. This is why our Department has become a widely interdisciplinary environment in which we learn together to look at environmental issues from the perspectives of diverse scientific disciplines.

Doctoral studies, whether in the full-time or the combined mode, follow the students’ individual study plans. In order to attain the doctoral degree, students are expected to engage in publication activities. The Department welcomes doctoral students’ initiative. Students will have the opportunity to teach as well as prepare and carry out research projects.
